D.A.R.E. > Sgt Darren Jones
Sgt. Darren Jones has over 16 years experience in law enforcement. His career began in 1993 as a patrol deputy for Union County Sheriff's Office. In 1996, Sgt. Jones was certified as a D.A.R.E. Officer, and began teaching the program in the Union County School System. In 1997, Sgt. Jones started working for the Towns County Sheriff's Office as a patrol deputy and D.A.R.E. Officer. Soon after, in 1998 & 1999, he also worked with the Georgia State Patrol as a Communications Officer. In 2001, Sgt. Jones was certified as the School Resource Officer (SRO) / D.A.R.E Officer for the Towns County School System, a position which he still holds.
